US ambassador to Ukraine on strike in Kryvyi Rih: This is why war must end

Bridget Brink, the US Ambassador to Ukraine, has responded to the Russian strike on the city of Kryvyi Rih in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, stating that it is the reason "why the war must end".

Details: Brink stated that the fact that a ballistic missile had hit near a children's playground and a restaurant in Kryvyi Rih was horrifying.

"More than 50 people injured and 16 killed, including 6 children. This is why the war must end," she wrote.

It is worth noting that in her post, Brink did not specify that the missile or strike was Russian.

Previously: Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský and his Lithuanian counterpart Kęstutis Budrys also commented on the strike.

Background: 

• Russian troops launched a ballistic missile strike on a residential area in the city of Kryvyi Rih on the evening of 4 April, killing 18 people, including nine children, and injuring over 60.
• Late in the evening on 4 April, the Russians attacked Kryvyi Rih again, causing a fire in a residential area. It was later reported that one person had been killed and others injured.
